Wow, thank you both for the "Encouraging" words! I love you all and am so thankful to be your daughter and older sister!
Friday was a rough day, I was overly tired and scared. I believe that Kymbal will be ok, but I can't help but worry. I feel bad cause every time Corey calls and still doesn't know where we are going I am disappointed! And YES I am very impatient, it stinks!
Yesterday we had a really fun day at the water park. The kids want to know when we can go back. I bought discounted tickets to the Chef school for kids and tickets to Dinosaur World! So we should have a few more fun weekends ahead. I think I am also going to try to go to the Strawberry Festival. The kids get out of school for that!!
Today was a good church day. Kymbal took off her diaper in Nursery, walked off to the other side of the room and sat down and started playing. I didn't see it happen, but I heard "who's dirty diaper is on the floor?" There was only Kymbal and Leslies little girl in nursery and I knew right away is was Kymbals! Guess she didin't want to be in a wet diaper anymore! After church we came home cleaned, went on a walk with our neighbor, came home ate dinner, took baths and ate choc. chip cookies while we read the scriptures. Yep thats right!! We read chapter 1 and 2 of 1st Nephi. The kids LOVE to read the scriptures. It makes it so much more fun and encouraging. We were only going to read chapter 1 but the kids begged to read more. Devon read all of chapter 2. I love him but man he is the slowest reader ever. Hahahaha, it took him almost an hour to read 24 verses!! But then again we talk about what we read after every verse or so. Plus he has a lot to say! I love it, it was a lot of fun. As for our family prayer well that didin't happen. The girls passed out by mid way of Chapter 2.
Reagan had to give a talk today in Primary. It was on "I love to read the scriptures with my family" I wrote about how we each take turns reading and how are parents help us understand what we read. Reagan sits there for a minute and goes...."Ummm we do NOT read the scriptures, why would I say that!!" I said, well we did in Okinawa, don't tell anyone we don't!!!!
I realized tonight how much they really don't know about the gospel, things we think are so simple. But when we are not talking about it and teaching them on a daily basis what else can I expect?! They had a lot of questions and interest in the gospel. I LOVE MY CHILDREN so much and enjoy each one of them. I truly and blessed by what smart and truly good kids I do have.
I can't believe Devon will be 10 soon. He is such an AWESOME kid. Sweet, loving, kind, sensitive and gorgeous! I am one lucky mom! So I want to keep the same goals this week again. Family Prayer, FHE and now to read our Scriptures every night. This is going to be a good week, I am going to make sure of it!!
I love you all! Oh yeah Coreys Birthday is tomorrow! The big 37!! Man thats OLD!
